LG VX5400, amazing battery, shitty in everything else, shitty to call with, tiny screen, didn’t take video, had a 0.3 MP camera, shitty to text on, and yes, its a flip phone,

second phone, Samsung galaxy stratosphere 2, a “smartphone” but really a less stupid phone

slow as balls about a month after I got it, you would routinely have to wait a solid 30 seconds for it do anything, you would push something and then have to wait forever for it to actually do anything, Tiny as well, I hated it so much over my ipad and other hp android tablet, that I took my early upgrade that I was eligable for (I did not choose to get this phone, my mom got it for me for my 17th birthday, an upgrade from a flip phone).

its only redeeming quality was its physical slideout keyboard, so I could text without looking. it did make finding a case for it absolutely impossible. which I need one, because im not the most careful person.

it also had a MicroSD slot which was nice, but the interal storage left a lot to be desired (8 gigs supposedly, under 4 that were actually usable)

TouchWiz sucks so bad, Fuck You Samsung.

current phone, a Motorola DROID Turbo

This is my first truely high end device, I got it about 6 weeks ago, and I must say, it is AMAZING compared to what I have had, its fast, it has truely high end specs (3 GB ram, and 2.7 ghz quad-core snapdragon 805 processor, not the absolute best snapdragon, but damn close with only the 808 and 810 being faster) a 1440p 5.2 inch screen which is really clear and bright, a decent camera, and almost stock android (with various branded Verizon stuff that was immediately disabled), The moto assist is really nice, it will let you answer the phone or start music by just speaking to it. I’m loving this phone so far

unlike a lot of people, I actually like the utilitarian design (granted I don’t ever see the back because its in a case), it also has physical dedicated capicitve buttons on the bottom, which I also really like (unlike most of the rest of the internet), my android tablet has the virtual ones, and I find them to super obnoxious to use. I have the whole screen, not a small part taken up by a big home and back buttons.

I only have one issue with the Turbo and that is that is get crazy hot if you use it a lot. Even if I’m just using navigation for a while its gets super hot.

Other than that I love it, the turbo charger is amazing.

I sold soany of those 5400s when I worked for Verizon. Tough little buggers.

Turbo used since release had to do a warranty replacement due to thermal throttling but all in all an okay phone. Would have rather gotten that ASUS zenfone 2 with the octacore dual sims and sdcard slot.
